"When living in Regent Square, we would eat here once a week. Living in Bloomfield it's been more like once a month. So sad to see that they're closing 3/4/23 after almost 70 years. Seriously some of the best pizza I've ever had. Not to mention yummy brekkie, sandwiches, and everything in between. Thanks for everything!!!!"

"I had a real blast from the past experience as I hadn't had Vento's in quite some time. I was in the area and had a killer craving for an Italian Army which needed to be satisfied. As soon as I parked I took in all of the familiar smells as I made my way to the door. Once inside it was just like I always remembered the decor was the exact same. I went in just wanting an Italian Army, but notice some older guys sharing a pizza so I needed so of their sicilian pizza too! I placed my order I found a seat and patiently waited for my food. Once it arrived about 10 minutes later I was instantly transported back in time to 12th grade at Peabody High School as the original Vento's was almost a daily after school stop! I started with the sicilian pizza. I ordered it with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. The crush was light and airy just like I remembered it. For those that havent been an Italian Army features chopped beef, fried onions, marinara sauce, provolone cheese, lettuce & tomato. It was legendary and just as good as ever! With all of the long time businesses closing in East Liberty lately really makes me even more happy that a gem like Vento's has stood the test of time and remains just as delicious as ever!"

"Vento's is one of my favorite East Liberty restaurants because of their food consistency. Ever since I had Vento's as a younger guy I've always enjoyed it. The Vento family is a Pittsburgh institution who have done so much for the community. If there's one thing that I'll pick at is that it's a cash only restaurant. It's hard to believe in 2018 that cash only places like this are still around. If you don't like square cut pizza you won't like it here."
